Our founders, David Jeffreys and John Savage, friends and passionate technology people, spent several years working together in both Southern California and Ireland in the early 00's.

They kick-started their careers working for a US based software product company on the development of an enterprise software system. Once the product came to market, David and John, inspired by the process, decided to set up their own business.

Back in Ireland they could draw from an excellent pool of technical talent. So they decided to build their development team there and open offices in both Ireland and Los Angeles.

David leads the business end of things. John shapes the technical approach for each project and oversees every delivery. Over the past decade Action Point has built a formidable team of developers, each carefully handpicked by both David and John.

David Jeffreys - CEO

David is the founder and CEO of Action Point and is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the company. David has more than 15 years’ experience in the IT industry and has a passion for good service. Under his leadership Action Point has achieved significant year on year growth, has expanded overseas, and has adopted a customer focused marketing strategy.

David is a Director of the Limerick Chamber of Commerce, where he chairs the Competitiveness Panel and passionately champions the commercial and cultural growth of the Mid-West region of Ireland.

John Savage - CTO

John is the co-founder and CTO at Action Point and has been working in the software industry for over 15 years. He has deep technical expertise on software architecture, development and management and is the driving force behind Action Point's team of talented developers.

John graduated from the University of Limerick in 2001 with a First Class Honours BSc in Computer Systems. He is one of only 3 people in the University's history to graduate with a perfect score of 4.0.

Ger O’Mahony – CFO

Ger is the CFO at Action Point and has more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry. Ger has been involved in a number of successful technology start-ups, including being the founder of the software business Engage Technologies Group which was subsequently sold to NorthgateArinso (a FTSE 250 company) as well as the co-founder of the networking systems integrator Bridgecom Group which was sold to Denis O’Brien’s Esat Telecom. He has completed funding rounds and also identified, successfully completed and integrated company acquisitions as well as company disposals during this period. In recent years Ger has focused on helping established technology companies to scale and grow both in Irish and International markets.

Karl Dowling - Director of Sales

Karl Dowling is Director of Sales at Action Point and is responsible for driving sales across Ireland and Europe. Karl manages all aspects of the sales process, including strategy, tactics, sales plans and revenue targets, and plays a key role in the development of Action Point's international expansion strategy.

With a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Karl has over 10 years' experience working in the Technology industry. Karl joined Action Point in 2009 as a Senior Sales Executive and was quickly promoted to Sales Manager. In 2011 he was appointed Director of Sales.

Ivan O’Connor – International Sales Manager

Ivan O'Connor is International Sales Manager at Action Point responsible for delivering and managing international growth.

A graduate of the University of Limerick, Ivan holds an honours Bachelor of Business degree and has also studied with the Université de Grenoble and the Irish Management Institute.

As the founder in 1998 of ICE Tech, a speciality touchscreen systems integrator, right up to the time of its trade sale in 2010, Ivan was responsible for establishing this business as a market leading organisation with blue chip and public sector clients across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Tim Martin - Business Development Manager

Tim heads up our Business Development initiatives in the US and has done so for over five years. Originally from Belfast, Ireland, Tim moved to California in 1982. Prior to working in the tech industry Tim spent 10 years working in the restaurant trade managing a local restaurant in California. He changed paths in 1994 to set up a technology company selling hardware systems and in the late nineties moved into software development.

In 2001 he founded DataMate Global and began development on one of the first corporate Instant Messaging platforms. During his time at the helm of DataMate John and David joined the team and a longstanding friendship began. Years later, after DataMate was acquired by RB Zack & Assocs, Tim came on board to represent Action Point in the US.
